Binance is a decentralized exchange that uses a matching engine capable of supporting 1,400,000 orders per second. The native BNB token is used as a base exchange asset and to pay for fees within the platform. Every quarter the team uses 20% of profits to buy back BNB and destroy them until 50% of the initial supply is destroyed. Users can use BNB tokens to pay withdrawal and margin trading fees at discounted prices. BNB tokens allow high volume traders to pay extremely small fees because of the fee discounts traders receive for paying with the token.
