EOS (EOS) Profile

EOS Token Profile (PDF)

EOS is a decentralized operating system for blockchain-based applications. It attempts to provide Decentralized Application (Dapp) developers with the core tools they are accustomed to when developing web applications. These tools include account management functionality, such as account recovery in case users lose their passwords, and database and permission management. If EOS successfully implements its operating system, end users of Dapps will not need to interact with the blockchain though command-line interfaces. Instead, the interaction can be made through a user-friendly interface, much like a website. The EOS network plans to support millions of transactions per second through parallel processing, but this scale will depend on the design of its Proof of Stake consensus algorithm. Protocol governance will also be established through token ownership and EOS is one of the first digital tokens to determine its terms of use through a constitution. Block. One is the software development company behind EOS and it is led by Dan Larimer, the creator of BitShares and Steemit, and Brendan Blumer, Co-Founder of Okay.com.
